Flutter Entertainment to debut on NYSE
Flutter Entertainment said its shares will make their debut on the New York Stock Exchange on January 29 as part of its long-awaited US listing.
The move underlines the growing importance of its American asset base, specifically its sports book operation FanDuel.
It may also help raise the profile for the stock but also will likely enhance Flutter’s valuation as new shareholders flock to invest.
Its listing on the London Stock Exchange and membership of the FTSE 100 will remain unaltered, Flutter said. Commentators wonder how long this will remain the case.
In its update, Flutter confirmed it will exit the EUROSTOXX index, effective December 18.
Flutter’s confirmation will no doubt ignite debate around the attractiveness of the London market post-Brexit with UK tech giant ARM Holdings opting to IPO in New York and building materials group CRH making the transatlantic switch.
