Sports Betting

November was the second-best month for Ohio’s sports-betting industry, with bettors placing $865 million in bets across mobile apps, in-person sportsbooks and betting kiosks.

November was only beat by January, which is when legal sports-betting in Ohio launched, prompting $1.1 billion in bets, Betting apps had also flooded the market with $320 million of promotional credits in January. November saw just under $59 million in promotional credits and GGR of $864 million.

Total November sports betting revenue also fell 15.6% from October to November. However, it should not be discounted that the Ohio market has shown itself to be formidable compared to its peers, and in the coming months will reach a steady maturity.”
