The Illinois Gaming Board released their November sports wagering report on Tuesday and it revealed yet another record handle for the state’s legal sports wagering providers.

November was the third straight month that Illinois sports betting apps set a new bar for overall sports betting activity for a given month.

Illinois’ November figures also created news for the national scene. With the Illinois sports betting November haul, the entirety of the U.S. legal sports betting industry surpassed a lifetime handle of $300 billion since the Supreme Court struck down its blanket ban on legal sports betting and official wagering commenced in June 2018.

Illinois also helped the national handle for November to a record $13.5 billion, with Arizona and Kentucky yet to report their November figures. Illinois sports bettors spent a whopping $1.38 billion with Illinois sports betting apps and the state’s retail providers while taking advantage of Illinois sportsbook promos. Illinois sportsbooks combined for a record sports wagering handle in the third straight month.
