Ukraine introduces new online gambling restrictions
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) with new restrictions on online gambling, issuing the decree on the Presidential Office website on April 20.
In order to ensure proper protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Ukraine, to strengthen measures to counteract the negative consequences of the functioning of the field of gambling on the Internet, as well as to prevent the use of the peculiarities of this field by the aggressor state, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine decided the development of a procedure for restricting all forms of gambling advertising, in particular with the use of electronic communications, the symbols of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, as well as the distribution of relevant contextual material.
Prohibition of the registration by the casino gambling on the Internet of several accounts for one player, as well as the determination of the maximum time of continuous participation in gambling on the Internet per day for one account and the introduction of mandatory breaks in the game, determination of the maximum playing time per week.
