Delaware posts record wagering revenue in June

Finance News

Delaware gaming revenue this past month was a record, more than any other month in state history $177.2 million in June according to the Delaware Lottery, the group that oversees the state’s online casinos.

Delaware is home to a trio of online casinos run by BetRivers: Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover, and Harrington Raceway & Casino. June’s record revenue surpassed the previous record set in March.

In-person sports betting launched in the state in June 2018 (a month after the U.S. Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) that May), but mobile sports betting didn’t come to the state until December 2023.

That allowed for bettors in the state to take advantage of a certified mobile sportsbook, which is safer and more reliable than illegal offshore accounts, which sometimes don’t pay out winnings or keep your personal info secure.
