Flutter in talks to place £2bn bet on Snaitech
Flutter Entertainment is in talks to buy Snaitech, one of Italy’s largest gambling companies, from UK’s Playtech in a deal which could be worth 2 billion pounds ($2.57 billion), Sky News reported on Wednesday. Playtech shares rose 17% following the news.
The website, snai.it, offers a vast range of gaming and entertaining services including all online products: sport and horse racing betting, poker cash and poker tournament, skill games, casino and cash games, betting on virtual events, forecasts, bingo, lotteries and number games, virtual sports. Betting and casino apps are available also from website using a technology that adapts to all devices. Furthermore, the Group’s own sportnews.snai.it is a well-known blog providing updated information and news to customers and sport fans.
Snaitech also owns two racetracks, one in Milan, Snai San Siro, and one in Tuscany in Montecatini Terme, Snai Sesana. Its properties include training circuits and accommodation for horses.
Through its subsidiary Epiqa, a ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified company, which operates in the world of broadcasting and broadcast production, Snaitech guarantees to its points of sale network broadcasting of its Masaf and UnireTV channels, featuring all horse racing subject to betting broadcasted in Italy and abroad. Epiqa also broadcasts SnaiTV channels, which feature programs focusing on sports and other events. The Group’s real-time communications are complemented by Radio Snai, the radio broadcast which can be heard in all of Snaitech’s points of sale and corner shop, also available through streaming via the Group’s website snai.it.
