Underdog Fantasy launches new ad featuring Tyrese Maxey

Marketing

Tyrese Maxey signed a five-year, $204 million extension with the Philadelphia 76ers this summer, making sure he and his family will not have to worry about money for quite some time. Still, it never hurts to have the endorsement dollars rolling in too.

The Sixers All-Star, who has appeared is now featured in an Underdog Fantasy advertisement, along with Super Bowl LII losing head coach Bill Belichick, rapper Cam’ron, and golfer Bryson DeChambeau.

True to form in the ad, Maxey is talking on the phone via speaker while still getting jump shots up in the gym. One percent better every day, am I right? He is getting some advice from Belichick on whether a San Francisco running back will score a touchdown this week (It’s Jordan Mason season, everyone!). Belichick answers in the affirmative, but then doesn’t think Maxey could have played QB, which, I don’t know, I think his speed could work in a spread RPO system. He wouldn’t be the first Sixers star guard to dominate on the gridiron, after all.

It’s fun to see Maxey’s Q Rating continue to rise as he becomes more and more of a star on the court. The 23-year-old has a great support system around him and is as grounded and down-to-earth as they come, so I have no worries about any success or fame going to his head. I’d say he’s probably watching the congratulations roll in for his latest solid acting performance, but we all know that just like in the commercial, he’s too busy in the gym to pay attention.
