Arkansas sports handle tops $50 million in September
Arkansas sportsbooks have taken in over $53.1 million in sports wagers during September up 29%. This comes in from residents and tourists visiting any of the state’s casinos or using their online betting apps.
The growth of legal Arkansas sports betting didn’t happen overnight. Despite being the 8th state to regulate sportsbooks after the PASPA repeal, they are the 26th state to reach this milestone. Even further, the “25th state” (Kentucky) has another billion in wagers over Arkansas.
When Arkansas legalized mobile sportsbooks in late February 2022, it caused a significant shift in the state’s sports betting handle. March 2022, the first full month of online betting, saw an immediate spike, with the handle soaring to over $10.6 million compared to $5.8 million the previous month.
