Danish gambling revenue hits DKK553 million in September
Danes’ gambling spend decreased in September 2024 compared with the same month last year.
Data from the Danish Gambling Authority shows that the spending on online casino increased, while on betting, gaming machines and land-based casino it fell.
The total gambling spend decreased by 2.8 per cent in September 2024 compared with September 2023.
The largest deviation from last year was in the betting market which decreased by 22.0 per cent, while land-based casino and gaming machines decreased by 9.7 and 3.5 per cent, respectively. The only gambling sector that did not see a fall in spending was online casino, which increased by 12.0 per cent.
