The Danske Spil Group achieves a total BSI of DKK 3,764 million. DKK and a profit after tax of DKK 1,482 million. DKK per 30 September 2024.

This is an improvement compared to the same 9 months last year, and Danske Spil realizes an increase in BSI of DKK 76 million. DKK as well as a profit after tax of DKK 110 million. DKK higher than the same period last year.

The improvement in BSI is driven, among other things, by of growth in lotteries and high pot runs at Eurojackpot. Sports betting realizes a decrease in BSI, while casino games deliver an increase compared to the same period last year.

The class lottery is on par with the same period last year. Danske Spil has sold off in the 1st quarter, where Danske Licens Spil per 31 January 2024 has sold its ownership stake of 60 per cent. in Swush.com ApS.

The improvement in the result after tax is mainly driven by an improvement in BSI, the sale of Danske Licens Spil’s share in Swush and an improvement in the financial items.

In Danske Licens Spil, a decrease in BSI is seen compared to the same period last year. While the casino area shows a positive development with customer growth, a decrease in BSI for sports betting is primarily driven by a declining retail market after the introduction of the game card, fierce competition and an increased repayment to customers.

In line with Danske Spil’s objective of working towards healthier gambling habits among customers, a greater number of customers are activated in both areas compared to the same period last year, while customers generally play for smaller amounts. This can, among other things, attributed
the series of responsibility initiatives that Danske Spil has introduced over recent years.

The Danish Class Lottery is included with a BSI of DKK 184 million. DKK and a smaller increase of DKK 1 million. DKK compared to the same period last year. Elite Gaming delivers a small increase in BSI of DKK 1 million. DKK compared to the same period last year. Swush is only included for one month until the company is sold on 31 January 2024.

The group realizes per 30 September 2024, a result after tax of DKK 1,482 million. The direct BSI-related costs for dealer commissions and other gambling-related costs have fallen by DKK 18 million. DKK compared to the same period last year and is operated by lower BSI in Danish License Games.

Other costs including depreciation are calculated at DKK 986 million. DKK corresponding to an increase of 16 million DKK compared to the same period last year.

This can, among other things, attributed to a general increase in costs in line with price developments and increased BSI. The total increase also includes a small decrease in personnel costs, i.a. derived from a decrease in the number of employees.

The financial items have improved by DKK 24 million. DKK compared to the same period last year. The increase is due to, among other things, increased interest income on cash and capital gains on the securities portfolio.

In the period after the end of the quarter, no conditions have occurred which are considered to have a significant influence on the assessment of the quarterly report on 30 September 2024.
Expectations for the financial year. As announced at the publication of the annual report for 2023, a BSI in the range of 5.0 – 5.2 billion is still expected. DKK and profit after tax in the range of DKK 1.8-1.9 billion. DKK for 2024.
