Delaware sports betting handle tops $200 million in October

Sports Betting

Delaware was one of the first states to legalize sports betting after the Supreme Court overturned the federal ban in 2018.

Six years later, outside of very restrictive access to BetRivers, residents still don’t have access to our best sports betting apps.

But that doesn’t mean Delaware sports betting isn’t succeeding and growing. The First State’s sports betting handle for October 2024 hit $24.5 million, more than double the $10.7 million collected last October. While the uptick in handle wasn’t as great, it was also a slight boost over the $23.2 million collected in September.

The revenue figures, however, did not follow suit. September saw the state record $2,965,229 in proceeds from online and retail sportsbooks, while that number dipped to $877,124 in October.
