Aristocrat surpasses $3 billion in first half revenue

Aristocrat has reported A$3.03 billion (US$1.96 billion/MOP15.74 billion) in operating revenue for the half year ending 31 March, up 8.7 per cent compared to the previous period. 

According to a Wednesday announcement from the casino equipment provider, EBITDA experienced a leap of 12.8 per cent to A$1.25 billion, with the EBITDA margin at 41.1 per cent, up 1.4 percentage points. 

One of the company’s key segment – Product Madness, a mobile game studio specialising in social casino games – recorded a revenue of A$901 million, up 5.3 per cent.

Online gaming division, Aristocrat Interactive, was up 141 per cent to A$263.6 million.

As of the end of March this year, the group reported A$1.43 billion in cash and cash equivalents, down 45.4 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Aristocrat slashed its gross debt by 17.8 per cent to A$1.86 billion, with net debt at A$425 million.
