Kalshi unveils first tv ad fully produced by AI during primetime NBA
Kalshi, a prediction-market platform based in the U.S. has breached new territory and potentially changed the landscape of the advertising industry by a storm as it aired the first fully AI-generated commercial during a primetime NBA game.
The ad reportedly integrates AI-created visuals and was made on an AI-written script. Even the voiceover is AI-generated and the entire ad was reportedly created in less than 48 hours. The 30-second ad features a variety of scenes with wildlife, cityscapes, crowd scenes and people of different ages.
Entrepreneur Rex Salisbury weighed in on the significance of this step and said: “Things like this used to cost millions…now…not so much. If you’re a startup, never a better time to be scrappy!” Users on social media reacted to the ad too with one saying: “Director of photography, assistant director, editor, assistant editor, lighting, camera crew, hair and make-up, audio recording and sound engineer, street permits, costume designer, location scouts, and more. All wiped out.
