The Oregon Lottery has released the state’s sports betting revenue report for the month of May.

The lottery reported a 6 % increase in sports handle in May to $80.6 million. Oregon bettors laid down 8% more wagers in May than a year ago, and the state’s single-operator sportsbook (DraftKings) kept 28% more in gross gaming revenue (GGR) thanks to an improved 11.5% hold rate. April’s performance generated about $0.64 million in tax revenue for the state.

Oregon runs one of America’s strictest single-operator systems. The Oregon Lottery awarded an exclusive contract to DraftKings, which replaced the Scoreboard app on 18 January 2022 and remains the state’s only legal mobile and online sportsbook.

Anyone 21+ physically inside state lines can wager through the DraftKings platform, although certain props and college markets are restricted under Lottery policy. Retail alternatives exist only at tribal casinos such as Chinook Winds and Spirit Mountain; no additional online licences are available.
