Flutter Entertainment has been the target of a cybersecurity attack that has exposed the personal information of users across platforms, including betting exchange Betfair.

Flutter said the attack may have obtained “certain consumer data” which “mainly consists” of the contact information of people who had been in touch with its help desk.

According to a statement from Flutter, no passwords, identification documents or payment details were acquired in the breach.  

However, in emails sent to customers that have been posted on social media, Flutter has outlined that details such as usernames, emails, contact information, the first line of their address and their city could have been taken.
