BOYLE Sports and Galway Races have today announced a new three-year sponsorship renewal that will see Ireland’s largest independent bookmaker remain the title sponsor of Saturday at the Galway Races.

The partnership sees BOYLE Sports continue its sponsorship of the €110,000-day six feature, the BOYLE Sports Handicap Hurdle, and the €17,000 BOYLE Sports Maiden Hurdle. A change in racing schedule also sees the bookmaker acquire the naming rights to the €80,000 Galway Tribes Hurdle, previously run on Friday.

Michael Moloney, CEO at Galway Races, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have a sponsor so deeply involved in the industry on board for another three years. BOYLE Sports are fantastic partners and have been long-time supporters of our Summer Festival. We’re also pleased to announce an addition to Saturday’s racecard with the BOYLE Sports Galway Tribes Hurdle, having been moved from Friday to Saturday. This change gives horses that don’t make the cut for Thursday’s Feature Hurdle another valuable opportunity to compete, enhancing the overall quality and excitement of the week’s racing.”

This summer’s Galway Festival, taking place between Monday, 28th July – Sunday, 3rd August, will be the first sponsorship event in Ireland that will provide visibility of the new BOYLE Sports brand, which was launched at the start of the month. The refreshed look includes a modernised logo and comes alongside a renewed £100m+ investment in the UK, including front of shirt sponsorship of iconic Premier League club, West Ham United.

Liam McKee, Head of Sponsorship for BOYLE Sports, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to continue our support of Irish racing by renewing our sponsorship at the Galway Races, one of the highlights of the Irish racing calendar. This year’s renewal feels particularly special as it coincides with an exciting new chapter for BOYLE Sports as our major brand relaunch gets underway, and there’s no better place to showcase it than at an event that holds such a special place in the hearts of the Irish public.”
