The Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) provides sports associations and organizers with more detailed information on relevant laws and regulations regarding sports sponsorship.

Sports teams participating in events in the Netherlands, including foreign teams, are not permitted to display visible sponsorship messages from gambling providers, regardless of whether these parties are licensed in their own country.

It is expressly prohibited to display advertising or other visible messages from gambling providers without a Dutch license. Such messages from unlicensed providers constitute promotion of illegal gambling.

This violates applicable legislation. Licensed providers are prohibited from advertising online gambling.

The Ksa urges all involved parties to be vigilant and to contact them if they have any doubts about the permissibility of specific messages.
