Danske Spil H1 revenue in line with expectations

Finance News

Danske Spil’s financial results show a financial result that is in line with expectations for the year and a continued targeted effort for healthy gambling habits and responsible gambling.

Danske Spil presents satisfactory financial statements for the first half of 2025, in which the group achieved gross gaming income (BSI) of DKK 2,547 million and a profit after tax of DKK 999 million, which is on par with the same period last year.

At the same time, efforts for responsibility and healthy gambling habits continue to be a high priority.

“We are satisfied with the development in the first half of 2025, where Danske Spil once again shows that a healthy and profitable business can go hand in hand with responsibility. I am pleased that we are delivering a result after tax of almost 1 billion kroner, while prioritizing our efforts for healthy gambling habits and a safe framework for gambling.

This shows that it is possible to create economic value with care – and that our strategic focus on both business development and responsibility creates results,” says Lars Krarup, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danske Spil.

Danske Spil manages to deliver a satisfactory result after tax for the first half of 2025, where the progress in lottery activities largely compensates for the negative impacts such as the absence of one-off income after the sale of Danske Licens Spil’s ownership interest in Swush.com ApS in 2024 and lower financial income. In addition, the company’s extensive responsibility efforts are also added, where Danske Spil is also at the forefront with a number of initiatives in the marketing area, among other things.

“We are looking forward to a six-month period in which our lotteries enjoy great popularity, and where the Danes welcomed the Great Easter Lotto, which is a new initiative within our flagship holiday products. We look forward to the second half of the year, where the focus is on strengthening and developing Danske Spil, so that we can continue to stand strong in a highly competitive market in the future and can unite 1.9 million Danes around the dream of winning for the benefit of the community,” says Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen, CEO of Danske Spil.

Danske Spil maintains its expectations for the full year 2025. As announced when the annual report for 2024 was published, a BSI of around DKK 5.1–5.3 billion and a profit after tax of DKK 1.9–2.0 billion are still expected.
