Revenue numbers from the Maine Gambling Control Unit in the Department of Public Safety showed sports betting revenue was up in November to $63.4 million.

DraftKings operates only mobile sports betting in Maine and is currently not present with retail (in-person) sports betting in the state.

The deals between the tribes and the sportsbooks are not public, but revenue figures and allocations are published monthly by the Maine Gambling Control Unit, the state’s gaming regulator. The tribes pay 10 percent taxes on profits, resulting in just under $1.9 million in state revenue through November.

The Maine Sports betting law grants online licenses to each of the state’s four federally recognized Indian tribes (Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Micmac, & Maliseet), allowing them to partner with one commercial sportsbook brand apiece.
