Mississippi’s November sports handle tops $51 million
23 Dec 2025
Mississippi was one of the first states to legalize sports betting following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in 2018.
The state’s approach to sports betting is unique, focusing on land-based sportsbooks rather than online betting. Mississippi’s November 2025 sports betting handle came in at $51.8 million, producing $2.6 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) and just under $289,000 in state tax contributions.
Despite summer seasonality, the hold rate surged to 17.5%, one of the highest among all U.S. jurisdictions this month.
