Kalshi trades $865 million on Super Bowl
Kalshi reported an impressive trading volume of over $865.234 million for Super Bowl 60, according to data from the prediction market released on Monday.
This total includes $589 million in trades related to the game’s outcome and an additional $275 million focused on the halftime show, television commercials, and celebrity appearances. In the aftermath of Seattle’s commanding 29-13 win over New England, the “Pro Football Champion” market on the site exceeded $500 million.
Although some trades experienced delays in posting during the game, Kalshi confirmed that all trades were executed in real time. The final reported figure early Monday morning reached $500,171,547. This market was launched last February following Super Bowl 59.
In the two weeks after the AFC and NFC Championship Games, the platform saw over $350 million in trades within its Super Bowl winner market. Additionally, Kalshi recorded $52,221,340 in the Super Bowl MVP market, which was awarded to Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III. At kickoff, he was traded around 19 cents to win $1.
This market opened on January 9. The platform’s prop markets, which included various trades for touchdowns and player performance totals, totaled $37.095 million. Notably, the “Anytime TD” prop market emerged as the top performer with $14.8 million in trades.
