Washington sports wagers top $75 million in March
Washington, D.C.’s sports betting market generated $75,147,822.33 in handle in March 2026, producing $8,818,009.73 in gross gaming revenue (GGR) at a 11.58% hold, and $2,080,222.94 in tax revenue.
The month reinforces what has become the defining feature of the District’s post-2024 market: a mobile-led ecosystem with a small number of national brands controlling most wagering volume, while venue and small-vendor retail contributes only a thin slice of overall handle.
FanDuel is the volume leader by a wide margin, and its distance from the pack matters because the District’s totals (and tax output) are heavily influenced by the top brand’s performance.
DraftKings remains the only true peer at scale, but January still shows a meaningful gap (about $11.44M less handle than FanDuel.
