Kansas reports $177.2 million in June sports wagers
Kansas sportsbooks accepted $177.2 million in wagers in June, the state’s lowest monthly handle of the year and 4% below May.
Revenue came in at $12,339,201 on a 7.34% hold, down 14.63% from the prior month, and the state collected $1,233,920 under its flat 10% tax on net receipts. Online betting carried almost the entire market at $166,157,047, or 98.83% of all wagers, while retail sportsbooks at the four state-anchored casinos took just $1,961,244.
Two casino-and-operator pairings carried most of the action. Boot Hill Casino (DraftKings) led all online books with $65,036,312 in handle, about 39% of the online total.
Kansas Star Casino (FanDuel) followed at $50,511,838, near 30%. Together the two cleared close to 70% of every online dollar wagered in the state.
