Spain’s Ministry of Economy has issued two penalties against operator 888 Online Games España, S.A. imposing €551,000 in fines relating to anti-money laundering (AML) failings.  

The Minister of Economy, Trade and Business reviewed sanctioning file ST/4006/2024, regarding 888 Online Games España, SA. This review revealed serious violations of regulations intended to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.

As a result, two sanctions were imposed, amounting to a total of €551,000, along with a public reprimand.
