Robinhood in talks with Crypto.com to expand its prediction market offerings on its platform
Robinhood Markets is currently engaged in discussions with Crypto.com regarding the potential integration of the cryptocurrency exchange’s event contracts into its prediction-markets platform.
This move could position Robinhood in stronger competition with Kalshi, as reported exclusively by The Wall Street Journal. Should this partnership materialize, Robinhood users would have the opportunity to trade Crypto.com’s yes-or-no contracts through the brokerage’s existing prediction-markets hub.
Talks are still ongoing, and it’s important to note that an agreement is not yet guaranteed. Bernstein has estimated that prediction markets could yield up to $1.7 billion in revenue for Robinhood by 2028.
Recent insights suggest that yes-or-no derivatives may have emerged as the company’s fastest-growing segment as early as the second quarter. With over 27 million funded accounts, Robinhood boasts more than one million users who are already active in trading event contracts.
