DAZN completes acquisition of ViewLift
DAZN Group, the world’s leading sports entertainment platform, announced it has completed its acquisition of ViewLift, a front-running provider of streaming and digital solutions for content owners that is deeply embedded in US sports. DAZN first announced the acquisition on April 30, 2026.
The completion bolsters DAZN’s growing momentum in US regional sports. It follows DAZN’s recent agreements to become the exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home of MSG Networks and YES Network for the 2026-27 NBA and NHL seasons – including providing DAZN users with access to live Yankees, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Devils, Islanders and Sabres games – as well as a new exclusive regional media rights partnership with the Minnesota Timberwolves. ViewLift adds another 17 teams and six Regional Sports Networks.
ViewLift will operate as a standalone business unit within DAZN, continuing to be led by its experienced executive leadership and serviced by the entire ViewLift team. With the acquisition complete, DAZN can offer leagues, teams and rights holders a broad set of flexible B2B2C and SaaS solutions, allowing partners to operate direct-to-consumer products while drawing on DAZN’s technology, infrastructure and global reach. DAZN will now provide an expanded suite of streaming, fan engagement and monetization solutions to help sports organizations of all sizes grow audiences and deepen relationships with fans, both locally and globally.
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, said: “ViewLift is officially part of DAZN, and I couldn’t be more pleased to have them on board. Welcoming ViewLift to the DAZN family gives us an even stronger platform to serve leagues, teams and rightsholders across the US and around the world. With additional platform capabilities, longstanding relationships across US sports and years of experience helping rights holders adapt to a changing and evolving sports media landscape, ViewLift enhances our innovative technology and global reach to deliver even more choice and value for our partners and their fans.”
Rick Allen, CEO of ViewLift, said: “Joining DAZN marks an exciting new chapter for ViewLift. We’ve built a business focused on helping leagues, teams and networks launch and grow successful streaming products. By joining DAZN, we’re creating new opportunities for our partners to expand their reach, accelerate growth and deliver even more engaging experiences to fans, while continuing to benefit from the flexibility and service that have defined ViewLift’s success.”
Founded in 2008 in the US by Ted Leonsis and Allen, ViewLift provides end-to-end OTT and direct-to-consumer streaming solutions to NBA, NHL and MLB teams, as well as partners including the NHL, Versant and Fox Sports (Latin America).
