Play’n GO Returns to the Realm of the Gods with Viking Runecraft 1000

Play’n GO expands one of its most enduring worlds as Viking Runecraft 1000 launches today, bringing Norse myth, cascading play and a god-led multiplier system to operators.
The latest entry in the Viking Runecraft series trades the familiar for a storm-charged grid where three gods preside over every round. Heimdall, Freya and Thor stand at the heart of a 6×5 grid framed by runes and lightning, their presence woven through both the visual identity and the core mechanic. It is a setting built on contrast and energy, carried by a palette of blue, gold, red and purple, and grounded in the mythology the series is known for.
At its centre is a scatter-pay grid where 8 or more matching symbols pay from anywhere, with no fixed paylines. Winning symbols clear and fresh ones drop into the gaps, and cascades continue until no further wins form, so a single result can unfold across several stages.
The standout system is the god-led multiplier progression. Multipliers build across 15 stages, climbing from x2 up to x1000, advancing along a path marked by Heimdall, Freya and Thor. This adds a clear, layered structure to each round, with the Free Spins feature, triggered by three or more scatters, carrying that progression further across the feature.
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said: “Viking Runecraft has always been about putting the power of the gods in players’ hands, and this release leans into that more than ever. The god-led multiplier progression gives every round a real sense of build and momentum, and it’s a fitting next chapter for one of our most recognisable worlds.”
