Genius Sports is making a play for more Manhattan office space, the firm inked a 53,000-square-foot lease at Vornado Realty Trust’s 1290 Sixth Avenue.

Genius Sports signed a 10-year lease for a portion of the Midtown building’s sixth floor, bringing the occupancy rate to 95 percent, the firm is relocating and expanding its New York headquarters from a former Vornado building at 512 West 22nd Street, where it occupied 28,000 square feet. 

The deal comes after Vornado completed a major renovation at the 43-story Sixth Avenue tower, which was built in 1963. Upgrades include a revamped lobby, a new curtain wall and the addition of wellness-focused amenities aimed at keeping the building competitive with newer office developments.
