Danske Spil first half GGR up 1.5% to DKK 2,586 million

After the first six months of 2026, Danske Spil delivers progress on both the top and bottom lines and maintains expectations for the year’s result for the benefit of the community.

Danske Spil presents positive accounts for the first half of 2026. The group has achieved gross gaming income (BSI) of DKK 2,586 million, which is DKK 39 million higher than the same period last year.

The result after tax amounts to DKK 1,044 million and is thus DKK 46 million higher than the previous year. The progress is mainly due to the higher BSI driven by the licensed games and lower costs.

“Danske Spil was created to create joy and benefit, and a healthy and strong business is the prerequisite for us to continue to make a significant financial contribution to the community. I am therefore pleased that we are both developing the business and maintaining our ambition to be the responsible market leader,” says Lars Krarup, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danske Spil.

Danske Spil’s lotteries continue to enjoy great popularity among Danes, and in the first half of the year a BSI was delivered on par with last year. Eurojackpot in particular is seeing progress and breaking a sales record, as Danes bought 358,000 tickets for a single draw in May, where they played for the maximum prize pool of DKK 750 million. Det Store Påske Lotto, which is part of Danske Spil’s flagship holiday products, also experienced record sales with an attractive prize pool of DKK 25×1 million. DKK

The primary growth comes from Danske Licens Spil, where the development is mainly driven by continued progress for the online casino and the launch of a new poker platform. At the same time, the men’s World Cup in football was held in June, where Oddset’s TV advertisements were not shown from whistle to whistle as part of our responsibility efforts.

“We have achieved positive development in the first half of 2026. The lotteries maintain a high level, and at the same time we have a great progress in Danske Licens Spil, where the market is growing, and where the Danish poker environment has welcomed our new platform.

This is particularly satisfactory in a market with fierce international competition and rapidly changing consumer habits. We must constantly develop Danske Spil and our products, so that we will continue to be relevant to the Danes in the future and stand strong as the Danes’ responsible gaming company,” says Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen, CEO of Danske Spil.

At the same time, Danske Spil continues its targeted efforts to promote healthy gambling habits and counteract gambling addiction. Over the years, Danske Spil has introduced a number of responsibility initiatives and is continuously at the forefront of strengthening and developing its standards in this area.
