Exclusive interview with Galaxsys Vigen Safaryan
Galaxsys is preparing to showcase its latest games at SBC Summit Lisbon. What can visitors expect from your participation this year?
SBC Summit Lisbon is a great opportunity for us to put some of our latest ideas in front of the industry and, more importantly, show the thinking behind them.
This year, we will be putting a strong focus on Instawin, Infinity, Olympian Legends and Chicken Crash, and our wider portfolio of fast games and slots. Each brings something different to the table, which is exactly what we want from our portfolio.
What makes a game stand out in today’s competitive iGaming market, and how do you decide which concepts are worth developing?
With so much content available today, simply adding another title to the portfolio is not enough. For us, it starts with the core concept: does the game offer something meaningful to players, is it easy to understand, and does it have something distinctive that makes the experience memorable? We look at market trends and player behaviour, but we do not want to simply follow every trend. Our goal is to create games with a clear identity and a reason to play. Technology is important, but it should support the gameplay rather than become the product itself.
Instawin and Infinity are two of the key games you will showcase in Lisbon. What makes these concepts different?
With Instawin, we wanted to create something fast, simple and immediately engaging. We took inspiration from the swipe-based experiences that have become part of everyday digital life and brought this familiar interaction into a gaming environment. The result is a quick and dynamic format that players can understand almost instantly.
Infinity takes a different approach by rethinking the traditional crash game format. Instead of individual rounds that stop and restart, Infinity creates a continuous gameplay experience, allowing the action to keep moving. It is a simple change in structure, but one that creates a very different player experience.
Do these games reflect a wider direction for Galaxsys’ product development?
Definitely. We are not trying to innovate simply for the sake of being different. We look for opportunities to take established player behaviours, mechanics or formats and create new experiences around them. Instawin and Infinity are good examples of this. One introduces a new way of interacting with a game, while the other rethinks the structure of an established category. In both cases, the innovation is designed to be meaningful from the player’s perspective.
How do you balance innovation with accessibility when developing new games?
That balance is extremely important. A game can have an innovative concept, but if players need a long explanation before they understand how it works, it can become difficult to engage with. We therefore aim to make the core experience intuitive. Players should be able to understand the basic mechanic quickly, while still having enough interaction and depth to keep the experience interesting. This is something we pay close attention to across both our fast games and slots.
What is next for Galaxsys, and what are you most looking forward to at SBC Summit Lisbon?
We have a strong roadmap planned for this and next year, with new concepts and ideas already in development across our fast and slot portfolios. We will continue experimenting with new mechanics and formats, while keeping the player experience at the centre of everything we do. As for SBC Summit Lisbon, we are looking forward to showcasing our latest games, meeting with operators and partners, and getting their feedback. Industry events are always a valuable reality check for a product team – you can spend months developing a game, but there is nothing quite like seeing people experience it for the first time.
We are looking forward to bringing our latest games to Lisbon, meeting with our partners and hearing their thoughts. Ultimately, these conversations are what make events like SBC Summit valuable for us – they give us a chance to see what excites the market today and where we should take our games next.
