DraftKings pledge $50,000 to help fuel DAV’s Transportation Network
DAV (Disabled American Veterans) is proud to announce a new collaboration with DraftKings through its DraftKings SERVES program, which includes a $50,000 donation to support the DAV Transportation Network as part of the DraftKings Gameday activation a one-day nationwide celebration that offered free gas to passenger vehicles at select gas stations.
The DAV Transportation Network provides free rides to and from Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities for ill and injured veterans, helping ensure transportation challenges don’t prevent veterans from accessing the medical care they’ve earned.
Volunteer drivers across the country provide more than 230,000 rides each year through this program. Contributions from companies like DraftKings help DAV continue providing this critical service and connecting veterans with the care they need.
“We’re grateful for DraftKings’ support and commitment to our nation’s veterans,” said Barry Jesinoski, CEO and national adjutant of DAV. “This generous donation will help ensure more veterans have access to reliable transportation when they need it most.”
