TaDa Gaming is giving its Fortune Zombie franchise a Hollywood makeover in new multiplayer release, Fortune Zombie: Dark City. 

The next chapter in the popular zombie-shooting series combines familiar characters and mechanics with new Boss encounters, interactive features and high-impact bonus rounds. 

From the first shot, players are challenged to battle waves of zombies on the post-apocalyptic Hollywood Walk of Fame, while keeping an eye out for the Bosses including Rock Skeleton, Soul Bride, Reaper, Ringmaster and King Kong.

Players who catch Rock Skeleton can unleash his Rock Guitar Solo. The Walk of Fame transforms into a live concert stage, triggering a spectacular guitar attack and turning every zombie hit into a win, with rewards of up to 1,200x.

The arrival of Soul Bride brings another layer of mystery and potential rewards up to 600x while once Reaper is hit, a magical attack is triggered.

This begins with a Base Multiplier between 30x and 50x. Players then flip the Magic Cards to reveal a Multiplier Bonus from 1x to 5x. The final multiplier is the sum of all the revealed multipliers then multiplied by the Base Multiplier.

A successful hit on Ringmaster brings three Free Spins from his Fortune Wheel. Every number landed contributes directly players’ total wins, allowing the feature to continue for as long as further spins are triggered.

Meanwhile, Baby Kong adds to his Rage Meter every time he is hit. Once the meter is full, he transforms into the formidable King Kong and the scene shifts to the Empire State Building in the spectacular Ultimate Hunt feature. 

This begins with a randomly assigned Base Multiplier between 50x and 100x. As King Kong climbs higher, players have the opportunity to trigger additional bonus multipliers of 2x, 4x, 7x or 10x. Alternatively, players can knock him down at any point for an instant win worth 15x his Base Multiplier.

Returning Fortune Zombie fans will also recognise familiar enemies including Rushdown, Kaboomber and Cookdoom, alongside the blue Gargoyle creatures. When their boxes are dropped, these can trigger a random bonus dice game.

Red Gargoyles introduce another spectacle, grabbing zombies from the Empire State Building as part of the Ultimate Hunt with King Kong. Each grabbed zombie will retain its original multiplier value.

Fortune Zombie: Dark City delivers a series of interactive features designed to give players greater control over their zombie targets. With Lock-On, players can select a specific zombie and continue firing until it is defeated, while the Auto function can automatically target and shoot the selected enemy. 

The Railgun adds further firepower to take down zombies and can also act like a drone, flying up the Empire State Building in pursuit of Kong with each rising multiplier.

With its combination of recognisable Fortune Zombie characters, U.S. landmarks, interactive shooting mechanics and layered bonus features, Fortune Zombie: Dark City builds on the established franchise while introducing new ways for players to engage with the action and the narrative.

Designed specifically for North America, the latest release continues TaDa’s strategy of combining globally proven game mechanics with market-focused themes, presentation and gameplay experiences.
