Online drives Betfred revenue to £995 million

Betfred’s online betting segment reported an impressive revenue of £451.6 million for the 52 weeks ending March 29, 2026. This figure represents nearly half of the bookmaker’s total group turnover of £995.6 million during the same period, as detailed in the financial documents submitted to Companies House by Betfred Group Holdings Limited.

The digital revenue accounted for approximately 45% of the overall total, reflecting growth from the previous year. The company achieved a gross profit of £720 million, with operating profit at £74.1 million and post-tax profit reaching £39.6 million. It’s worth noting that Betfred indicated the earlier 78-week revenue figure of just under £1.5 billion, reported for the period ending March 30, 2025, “may not be entirely comparable” due to the differences in reporting duration.

Additionally, Betfred reported development expenses of £110.4 million associated with a redesigned online platform that launched in December 2023, with all UK customers successfully migrated by early 2024. In a strategic move, the group has integrated Manchester’s tech agency, Sharp Gaming, into its operations, rebranding it as Betfred Technology.

The company stated that this investment, alongside a robust marketing initiative, has resulted in a like-for-like revenue increase of £23.3 million on an adjusted 12-month basis, as part of a focused strategy to enhance its online market presence.
