FDJ UNITED reports 8.1% revenue drop to €794 million in Q3
FDJ UNITED, a leader in betting and gaming in Europe, announces its results to end-September 2026.
Over the first nine months of the 2026 financial year, FDJ UNITED recorded gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €6,264m (-2.8%) and revenue of €2,576m (-5.6%), impacted by several factors.
Revenue to end-September was affected by inherent gaming factors, a decline in traffic at points of sale against a backdrop of unfavorable economic conditions, and tax increases.
2026 targets adjusted: low-single digit decrease in GGR, mid-single digit decrease in revenue and recurring EBITDA margin of around 23%.
There was significantly lower number and amounts of high jackpots compared to 2025, together with high player winnings in sports betting in Q3. Taking these factors into account, the French lottery and retail sports betting BU achieved GGR of €4,978m (-3.5%) and revenue of €1,794m (-4.8%).
Lottery GGR stood at €4,365m, down 3.5%, with instant games up 1.9% and draw games down 10.3%. Revenue amounted to €1,497m (-4.8%.
Sports betting GGR stood at €613m, down 3.2%, and revenue at €297m, down 4.5%. The online betting and gaming BU recorded virtually stable GGR (-0.8%), at €1,013m, while revenue declined by 8.2% to €619m.
Excluding the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, GGR rose by 5.7% and revenue by 0.8%, continuing to benefit from strong performance in France and Scandinavia.
In the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, the implementation of action plans should allow for a gradual restoration of performance.
Stéphane Pallez Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of FDJ UNITED said: performance at the end of September reflects factors inherent to the gaming sector, a decrease in traffic at points of sale against a backdrop of an unfa-vorable economic climate, as well as the expected increase in taxation. In this challenging environment, the Group remains fully committed and is resolutely pursuing the implementation of its action and performance plans to swiftly regain a sustainable growth momentum, underpinned by innovation and the attractive-ness of its product portfolio.
