Superbet bolsters Greek presence with €500 million investment
Superbet is set to further strengthen its presence in the Greek market by investing in technology, human capital, sports, and the overall player experience.
Superbet has initiated a long-term and highly ambitious investment in Greece, having begun the systematic development of its presence in the country approximately 12 months ago.
Specifically, the company’s total investment plan for the next six years amounts to approximately €500 million, with a focus not only on commercial growth but also on establishing the necessary infrastructure to support its long-term operations.
Technology serves as a core pillar of this strategy, while a significant portion of the capital is also being directed toward strengthening the company’s workforce. Currently, approximately 155 Greek employees are engaged in the company’s operations; furthermore, investments are being made across various marketing areas, extending beyond sports sponsorships.
Sports hold a prominent place within the investment plan. According to Giannis Kalambokis, Superbet has already allocated or committed approximately €100 million toward sponsorships and signed contracts in this sector—a figure that excludes corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Furthermore, he noted that there are provisions for the further expansion of these partnerships, which are not necessarily limited to their initial contractual duration.
In the realm of football, the company has established partnerships with Panathinaikos—under a 4+2 year agreement—and PAOK, through a 3+3 year deal. Its portfolio of partnerships also includes Olympiacos BC (six years), AEK BC (three years), Panionios (three years), and Levadiakos.
