Portugal’s regulatory authority Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal (SRIJ) has awarded a new online sports betting license to SAS Apostas Sociais, Jogos e Apostas Online, S.A. (SAS).

SAS’ majority share holder, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML), has timeously launched placard.pt, powered by Playtech and offering betting on 22 disciplines including football, handball, tennis, basketball, futsal and motor sports among others.

A healthy, socially responsible experience will be a strong focus for the operator whose profits are channeled to social causes.  placard.pt offers a separate, autonomous and independent line of support to players.
