Helio Gaming and Spinmatic Entertainment recently collaborated for the unique launch of new game Spinalott, please tell us more about this partnership?
The idea came about when we were brainstorming of how we can make lotteries more exciting and cross-sell via different products. From the conversations that we had with Spinmatic, it was clear that by using Spinmatic’s talent of creating slot games, and by combining our branded lottery games, we can give players the best of both worlds, and that is how the concept of Spinalott was conceived. Both parties were excited to work on the game, and it was nice to see two team that usually think differently about their respective products, understanding each other’s products and systems to be able to produce one harmonised user-experience. I must say that it is a fun project!
With slots and lottery coming together how does the game combine both features?
The game gives slot players the ability to spin and be immersed in the slot game, whilst at the same time, offering players the opportunity to win very big lottery jackpots, as part of the game mechanics is that it gives players tickets for them to use on our branded lotteries.
This game is a unique product that both operators and affiliates can market as having the largest jackpots that a slot game is able to pay out. We are exciting to seeing the product roll out and players enjoying the experience.
With state lotteries shutting down retail sales during these unprecedented times, how can Helio Gaming help with the situation by taking lottery online?
Our solutions can help state or government run lotteries take their offering online by working hand-in-hand and creating a quick online product where they can start accepting online bets. We have seen the example of my own home country’s national lottery that had its sales halted overnight because they do not offer an online product. Reduced sales is painful for any business, let alone complete sales stop, where operational cost are still being incurred, and with the uncertainty that COVID-19 is bringing, businesses are anxious.
The good thing of our solutions is that it is not meant to replace the existing systems, but complement, as they can be integrated with existing systems, therefore these lotteries have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
How long will this take operators for this integration to take place?
Getting the right resources in place, this can take a few weeks, not months, and it also depends how motivated the operators are to have this up and running. From Helio’s end, we are ready to help businesses in these dire times.
