Churchill Downs Inc. achieved a record-breaking second quarter with $934.4 million in net revenue, a 5% increase from 2024.

Coming off the Kentucky Derby, the Louisville-based company pulled in an all-time record net revenue of $934.4 million, according to a July 23 press release. This was up nearly 5% when compared to the second quarter, the months of April through June, in 2024.

In addition to overall company success, the 151st Kentucky Derby, which was held May 3, posted an all-time record for all-sources handle for the Kentucky Derby race, the Kentucky Derby day program, and the Kentucky Derby Week, despite “lower Derby Week ticketing revenue,” the release said.

This year’s Run for the Roses also drew in the highest ever average viewership with nearly 18 million viewers, which is up 6% from the previous year.
