BetMGM Appoints Jarrod Schwarz to Chief Operating Officer

BetMGM, a leading iGaming and sports betting operator, has promoted Jarrod Schwarz to Chief Operating Officer, a new position in the organization.
After serving as the company’s Chief Product Officer for nearly five years, Schwarz will oversee product, customer operations, technology and trading in his new role.
“Jarrod has been an integral part of our incredible team, building BetMGM into one of the most recognizable and successful brands in sports betting and iGaming,” said CEO Adam Greenblatt. “He has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of our business. I’m confident that this change will ensure we continue to deliver exceptional products and experiences to our players.”
Schwarz brings two decades of experience building digital products at world-class brands across e-commerce, sports and entertainment. Prior to joining BetMGM, he spent more than seven years at Disney, including the successful launch of ESPN+, their first direct-to-consumer streaming service. He also spent six years at eBay and served as Vice President of Product for Bloomspot, a startup acquired by JP Morgan Chase.
Schwarz said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role. It’s a privilege to continue the incredible journey we’ve been on at BetMGM, building on our momentum in sports betting and iGaming. Together with our exceptionally talented team, I look forward to pushing the boundaries of innovation and strengthening our position as a market leader.”
BetMGM is also moving its strategy, corporate development and select business development functions under the finance organization, led by CFO Gary Deutsch. These organizational updates follow the recent formation of a new iGaming vertical, led by Oliver Bartlett, and a new sports vertical, led by Raymond Doyle.
The structure changes are designed to facilitate more streamlined planning and collaboration and to more closely align and integrate strategic capabilities.
BetMGM currently operates in 29 markets with mobile and retail offerings. The BetMGM Sportsbook app is accessible on both iOS and Android, as well as via desktop at www.betmgm.com.
As BetMGM continues to expand into new markets and introduce new features, responsible gambling remains a key focus. Additionally, BetMGM is proud to provide resources to help customers play responsibly including GameSense, an industry leading program, developed and licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation. Through the integration within BetMGM’s mobile and desktop platforms, customers can receive the same GameSense experience they have grown to rely on at MGM Resorts properties nationwide. This complements BetMGM’s already existing responsible gambling tools which serve to provide customers with an entertaining and safe digital experience.
