Taking place between October 24, 2025, and June 9, 2026, the new tournament serves as part of the qualification process for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027TM, while also providing teams the opportunity to gain experience, earn international minutes, and compete in a format that boosts competitiveness and the growth of women’s football.

Spanning nine rounds and comprising 36 matches, the new tournament will see nine national teams compete for the top two spots and automatic qualification to the World Cup. The third and fourth-place teams will then enter the intercontinental play-off.

Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL, said: “The new CONMEBOL Liga de Naciones Femenina tournament is part of our ongoing efforts to support the growth of women’s football in South America. It will give players more opportunities to play international games, offer fans the chance to connect more with their national teams by watching high-stakes matches live and up close, and ultimately help inspire a new generation of female footballers across the continent. Once again, it is great for us to have a partner like Betano, providing invaluable support for our efforts.”

Julio Iglesias Hernando, Chief Commercial Officer of Kaizen Gaming, commented: “It is an honor for us to have a strong, long-term relationship with CONMEBOL, spanning a range of top-tier competitions and contributing to the growth of the game that the continent ‘lives for.’ Just a few months after the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™, we are excited to support a brand-new competition, the CONMEBOL Liga de Naciones Femenina, which will undoubtedly bring more attention to women’s football in South America”.
