NFL won’t allow prediction markets ads for Super Bowl LX
30 Jan 2026
Prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket have made significant waves in the sports scene over the past year, but the NFL is steering clear of them for Super Bowl 2026.
According to Front Office Sports, there will be no prediction market commercials during the Patriots versus Seahawks matchup on February 8.
Unlike the NHL and MLS, which have welcomed prediction markets, the NFL has taken a strong stance against them and has banned such commercials from game broadcasts since the start of the 2025 season.
The league’s main issue regarding sports event contracts is the absence of “safeguards” typical in regulated sports betting. This includes issues like “prohibitions on easily manipulated markets” and “official league data requirements.”
