DraftKings set to expand into in Arkansas

DraftKings are on the verge of striking market access agreements with one of Arkansas’ three licensed casinos, a move that has the potential to revitalize the state’s online sports betting scene.

If the Arkansas Racing Commission approves the agreement during their meeting on February 26, DraftKings platform could be ready to launch right away. Currently, Arkansas is generating a mere $29 in gaming revenue per adult, significantly trailing behind the national average of $125.

From current reports it appears DraftKings is aligning with Southland Hotel with a revenue sharing agreement, anticipated to involve a 51% split with the casino partners, Saracen is seemingly staying independent for the time being The upcoming commission vote on February 26 is expected to favor approval.

Notably, DraftKings has already incorporated Southland branding into its app interface for Arkansas users and has established an in-state LLC, indicating that they are well-prepared for an immediate launch.
