Uplatform Launches #beU Campaign for International Women’s Day
Women are still asked questions men never hear in interviews. They’re frequently labeled emotional in meetings and “lucky” when they succeed. These assumptions continue to shape hiring decisions, leadership perceptions, and everyday workplace interactions.
This International Women’s Day, Uplatform launches #beU, a campaign spotlighting the stereotypes women still face in professional life — from leadership and negotiation to hiring and everyday workplace interactions.
No stereotypes. Just U.
Challenging Outdated Labels
Even today, women encounter labels that oversimplify their skills and ambitions:
- “She’s too emotional to lead.”
- “She only wants to focus on a family.”
- “She’s not tough enough to negotiate.”
- “She’ll struggle to balance career and family.”
#beU confronts these assumptions head-on. The campaign gives women the space to share their experiences and expose how these stereotypes affect professional lives.
Because no stereotype should define a person’s ambition, capability, or path.
One Woman. One Stereotype.
Uplatform asked team members and industry leaders to reflect on a single stereotype they have faced:
- When did it happen?
- How did it affect their career or confidence?
- What do they actually believe about themselves?
“Behind every success lie years of expertise, resilience, and hard work – often while navigating stereotypes that still exist in the industry. This is exactly why campaigns like “No Stereotypes. Just U.” matter: they remind us that talent, leadership, and ambition have nothing to do with gender.” said Maria, Sales Team Lead, Uplatform
Each story emphasizes that labels do not define potential — and that challenging assumptions is essential for meaningful change.
Share Your Story
The campaign brings these experiences to life, contrasting outdated labels with authentic identity, revealing the distance between stereotype and reality.
A dedicated landing page invites women to share their own experiences anonymously. Selected submissions will be featured as part of a growing collection of voices challenging stereotypes in real professional contexts.
“What I want is the freedom to choose my path — without assumptions, questions, or judgment. By bringing these experiences into the open, we can challenge stereotypes that still shape our industry and create a future where women won’t need to prove they deserve opportunities — they will simply have them. Without any unnecessary fight.” said Maria Bashkevich, Head of Marketing at Uplatform.

Why It Matters
#beU is not a comparison of genders. It is a reminder that professional potential should not be filtered through stereotypes. Everyone deserves the freedom to define their own path — without assumptions, labels, expectations placed on them by others, or a need to constantly fight this system.
No stereotypes. Just U.
