DraftKings and ESPN to launch account linking feature
DraftKing and ESPN announced account linking between DraftKings Sportsbook and ESPN ahead of the March Madness tournaments, according to a press release statement.
The companies unveiled the details today at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. Customers who link their accounts will access a feature called Bet Your Bracket, which integrates with ESPN Tournament Challenge. The feature will provide wagers aligned with bracket picks and personalized betting suggestions throughout the tournament.
The partnership comes as DraftKings shows strong financial momentum, with revenue growing 27% over the last twelve months and an impressive gross profit margin of 76%.
DraftKings customers can link accounts through the Sportsbook app by navigating to the Bet Your Bracket tab. Fans who link accounts will receive one free month of ESPN Unlimited.
“DraftKings and ESPN share a deep passion for sports and a commitment to enhancing how fans engage with the moments that matter most,” said Stephanie Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer of DraftKings.
Mike Morrison, Vice President of ESPN Betting & Fantasy, said the account linking “creates a level of personalization that no one else in the market can match.” He added that fans will be able to track bets within the ESPN app and on ESPN.com, and receive promotions based on their favorite sports, teams, players, and fantasy rosters.
