Danske Spil reports DKK 5,158 million in full year gaming revenue
In 2025, the Danske Spil Group achieved a profit after tax of DKK 2,008 million, which is the highest in the company’s history.
The total gross gaming income (GBI) amounted to DKK 5,158 million, while the total contribution to society reached DKK 3,148 million. Of this, the contribution to the distribution funds amounted to DKK 1,787 million, which goes directly to thousands of causes within sports, culture, association life and social initiatives throughout the country.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Danske Spil, Lars Krarup, says:“For more than 75 years, Danske Spil has been created to be a source of joy and benefit, and that is our commitment. Every year, we entertain 1.9 million Danes in a safe environment, and when we succeed as a business, the profits benefit the community. In 2025, we will send DKK 1.8 billion to the community through distribution funds – money that makes a real difference to sports, culture and volunteering throughout the country.
At Danske Spil, we have worked for a more responsible gaming market for many years, and that is why I am pleased that 2025 was the year in which a broad political agreement on gaming was reached, which now raises the bar for responsibility for the industry.”
CEO of Danske Spil, Nikolas Lyhne-Knudsen, says: “Danske Spil maintains a market-leading position in a market with fierce competition from large, international players and rapidly changing consumer habits. Danske Spil must continue to be the Danes’ gaming company and the responsible market leader in the future, and this requires us to constantly develop and think new things. It is by developing Danske Spil that we remain relevant, so that in the future we can also unite 1.9 million Danes around the dream of winning for the benefit of the community.”
In 2025, Danske Spil continued to work purposefully to promote healthy gaming habits, including with a special effort to look after young adults under 25 years of age, where the average gaming expenditure on betting and online casinos is down to less than DKK 130 per month. As part of a sustained and preventive effort, the proportion of players who give rise to the greatest concern has been further reduced in 2025.
The BSI in the Danske Spil Group is expected to be in the range of DKK 5,200-5,300 million in 2026, and the year’s profit after tax is expected to be DKK 1,950-2,050 million.
The expectations for BSI and profit after tax are at the same level as or with a slight increase compared to the 2025 level.
