The Finnish Floorball Federation has signed a partnership agreement with Veikkaus Oy for 2026. Veikkaus is the main partner of the men’s World Floorball Championships. 

The men’s World Championship will be played in Tampere from 5 to 13 December 2026. The tournament will culminate in the playoffs at the Nokia Arena, which has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. 

The Finnish floorball men will go to the home games as reigning world champions. Sweden fell 5–4 in overtime in the final thriller in Malmö. The golden goal was lit and the boisterous celebration was started by Miska Mäkinen with Heikki Iiskola’s excellent forehand. 

The floorball men wrote a wonderful, golden story at the last World Championships, and we are now looking for a sequel to it in Tampere at the end of the year. It’s great to be able to be part of the journey. Hopefully, this journey together will culminate in the World Championship again, says Reija Airas, EVP, People, Culture and Communications, who is responsible for partnerships. 

The interest in the World Championships is significant. Tickets for the final weekend have been sold out. As many as 94 per cent of the tickets have been booked, so the hall will definitely be sold out. 

The groups for the men’s World Championship were drawn at the beginning of March at Nokia Arena. Finland will face Latvia, Norway and Switzerland in the preliminary round. Tickets for the group stage and quarter-finals will go on sale on 16.4.2026.
