Pennsylvania’s sports betting market experienced a notable recovery in February 2026, bouncing back from a weaker performance in the previous year.

During the month, bettors placed wagers totaling $592.5 million, which resulted in $54.5 million in gross gaming revenue at a hold of 9.20%.

The state benefitted from these activities, collecting $12.87 million in taxes, showcasing one of the stronger revenue months seen recently. A significant portion of the betting action came from mobile sportsbooks, reflecting Pennsylvania’s ongoing shift towards digital platforms for wagering.

While retail sportsbooks still play a role in the market, their overall share continues to dip in comparison to online options.

These latest figures underscore the dynamics of a mature market. Although handle can vary due to factors like seasonality and bettor interest, revenue along with tax incomeis much more affected by the outcomes of bets.

While February 2026 didn’t break any records for wagering, it did signify a return to a more stable and predictable margin environment following an unusual month in 2025.
