bet365 exits the American Gaming Association

Operator News

bet365 have resigned from the American Gaming Association (AGA) over opposition to the companies’ prediction markets ventures.

Both FanDuel and DraftKings have recently announced left the AGA and announced the launch of prediction platforms in states where sports betting is not yet legal.

These markets, currently operated by platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket, allow users to trade so-called ‘event contracts’ on events and outcomes from sports to elections.

Such markets are federally regulated as commodities through the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, though this means they do not come under the umbrella of traditional state-by-state gambling frameworks. The AGA opposes these markets, arguing that they are a threat to the integrity and regulation of sports betting in the US.
