MSG Networks and DraftKings, Inc. announced today they will broadcast a DraftKings Fantasy Live show on MSG+ for the first time in a parallel telecast and game call during the Knicks vs. Cavaliers game.
The DraftKings Fantasy Live broadcast will feature MSG Networks’ host Bill Pidto, MSG Networks’ analysts Alan Hahn and Wally Szczerbiak and DraftKings’ Fantasy Contributors Julian Edlow and Greg Ehrenberg. The show will include a live analysis of fantasy sports education including lineup-building, play-by-play breakdowns and more. DraftKings Fantasy Live on MSG+ kicks off at 7:30pm ET and will also be streamed on MSG GO, MSG Networks’ live streaming & VOD platform.
“DraftKings is committed to creating new opportunities through our partnerships to offer the most value to, and best experiences for sports fans everywhere,” said Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer of DraftKings. “Through this broadcast, we hope to combine the best of fantasy and live sports content through a dynamic and entertaining program.”
DraftKings Fantasy Live show marks a new endeavor in MSG Networks’ and DraftKings’ pre-existing relationship. As a signature partner of the Madison Square Garden company, DraftKings is the exclusive, Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner of MSG’s teams including, the New York Knicks, Rangers, Liberty and Westchester Knicks, as well as the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden. DraftKings also sponsors the “Picks Of The Night” feature in both the New York Knicks & New York Rangers post-game shows on MSG Networks.
“We are always looking for new ways to engage our fans around our live games,” said Kevin Marotta, senior vice president of marketing and content strategy, MSG Networks. “And with the popularity of daily fantasy sites as well as our ongoing partnership with DraftKings, we felt a big game like this was a perfect opportunity to bring something new to our viewers.”
The traditional Knicks telecast will air on the MSG Network as originally scheduled. MSG Networks’ Knicks pre- and postgame shows will be the same on both networks.
