Betfred temporarily suspends operations in Ireland

Betfred has notified its customers in Ireland about a “temporary pause” in operations effective at the end of the month, coinciding with the transition to a new licensing framework for remote betting set for July.

Customers are advised that they will not be able to access their Betfred accounts starting June 30. While no specific timeframe has been provided regarding the duration of this unavailability, it is anticipated that the interruption will be brief.

Betfred said they will reach out shortly regarding open bets in customer accounts, in a notification to customers this week, Betfred stated their intention to “take a temporary pause in the Irish market while we align with the new GRAI gambling regulations,”.

Customers are encouraged to withdraw any remaining balance before June 30 and refrain from placing any bets that are due to settle after June 29.
